I recently purchased a $2400 Tempur Pedic ®
mattress set hoping to alleviate my chronic lower back pain. After two
months, I now wake up so crippled by back pain I can barely walk. (I
am an otherwise healthy 40-year-old). I am going back to a spring matrress
ASAP. Anyone want a cheap Tempur Pedic ® ?

I spent over a $100 for a tempur-pedic ® pillow after I suffered from neck pain after four consecutive nights of sleep. This pillow is the most uncomfortable pillow I have ever used! It is very stiff resulting in impairing my ability to move from side to back when I sleep. I remain in one position all night long, and when I wake I have tremendous amounts of neck and back pain. If I start off sleeping on my back, the pillow puts a lot of pressure on my neck causing discomfort. I only hope I can return this uncomfortable pillow!

I have been sleeping on the Tempur-Pedic
® for years now. I have never had
a better mattress.
Here's why:
1. The free information available about the mattress makes it such an easy purchase.
2.When I called to get more info, I liked the fact that I got the materials quickly and with no obligation to buy.
3. I could go to several local retailers and try it out before I bought it.
4. When I purchased it it was not nearly as expensive as some of those overpriced pillowtop mattresses that don't do anything special but make it hard to make the bed.
5. I was satified after the first night but my back pain was not gone. For years I have had chronic back pain. The kind of pain that makes you cringe when you get up and even when you lie down. I have had to do streches and bends to get going every morning. I have had Chiropractors fold me up and straighten me out to no avail. But after the first month of sleeping on my Tempur-Pedic ® mattress, I never felt better.
6. During the 26 years that I lived with back pain, I tried the Sealy, the Serta and the Simmons and found that NONE of them could compare to the first night on my Tempur Pedic ®.
Lastly, please try this mattress, you will never buy another, unless its for a friend. Honestly, they are that good.

At first when I saw the commercial for the Tempur-Pedic ® , I was very skeptical. I was not sure that I had any reason to upgrade my matress. But I decided to toss my old matress and get a new Tempur-Pedic ® for my wife and me. Three months I slept on it and nothing. I was not impressed. The Swedish foam felt like a big egg crate and the matress had too much give. I felt like I was swimming in foam rubber. Thanks for giving us a forum to let people know! Bob Cavenaugh- 6/29/2005
